I am so sorry for your loss.
Hug your husband for being such a hero to save all the others.
I'm glad you weren't hurt.
 
Another good idea is GFI protection.
Any time there is a fault, it trips.
Good for saving the house, but maybe not so good for the fish.
Everybody, PLEASE keep your electrical stuff in good shape.

OMG. I've been away for a few days and come back to read this awful event happening to one of our most dedicated MFKs. I have to say my condolences to your beloved pacus. When you recover and you will, I'm sure there are pacus you can adopt and give great homes to. Hang in there. And give your husband a pat in the back for me.

Thank you so much ..and yes i have told hubby how grateful i am to have married him.. pacus are not in the near future for us.. they were special and cannot be replaced.. at least this is how i feel now..somethings are meant to go around only once.

I've been away too--Liz, what a tragedy on such a huge level. And traumatic. Makes me rethink my electrical situation in my "flammable metal box," as I have octopi on several tanks!! Much positive energy to you, hubbin, and the surviving fishies!!
