Here is a question I pose for you all:

Is there any such thing as a totally selfless act?

When someone does a good deed, it makes them feel good inside. So, part of their motivation for doing a good deed is to make him or her self feel good inside, which would make the act of kindness not totally selfless.

Don't get me wrong. I respect people who dedicate themselves to acts of kindness. I just like these philosophical questions.

not only that but to also do it in front of others to gain their praise.

but how would they act when no one is watching? woe to you HYPOCRITES!

You want a totally selfless act? jesus couldnt have said it (and done it) better himself.

greater love has no one than this, than to lay down ones life for his friends.

It was pretty nice of them.....I think we can all agree on that?

One time in Pee wee football, We were playing a team called North Mason. When they showed up, they only had 10 kids...The coaches sadly told us all that they had to forfit....I asked my coach to ask their coach, if I could play on there team and give it my best effort still, so we could go on with the game.....All coaches parents and players agreed....I had the funnest (not best by far..lol) game of my life, and the North Mason guys REALLY appreciated what I had done. It was the most difficult decision I had ever made at the time. Going full force against my own Juggernaut of a team (we won for 5 years straight) I was destroyed by them. I played Tailback and middle linebacker for NM (I was a receiver on my team). I was never even told thank you by a single person besides my mom, who cried all night out of "joy" I guess.

Didnt see the interview but still, I think there are much more selfless acts that have greater benefit throughout the world. Still a nice thing to do thou....

Every year I help interview and give out scholarships to highschool students, always a fun and great way to renew my faith in the future and people!

But you didn't carry a girl around the plates on a home run.. :(

Kidding.. Great work you do. :)

The other day I was at the grocery store, and the woman ahead of me had two kids. Apparently she didn't have enough money for some of the items. She gave some of the items back. She wasn't buying a lot. It broke my heart to see a woman with two kids couldn't afford lunch meat or hot dogs to go with the bread she was buying. After thinking about it for a few seconds, I told the cashier not to put the items away. I ran after her and told her I would pay for the rest. I'm not usually a compassionate person, but I just couldn't imagine not being able to pay for the most basic food items. It was a rare moment of empathy, but it provided me with a chance to make a small difference in the world.

But you didn't carry a girl around the plates on a home run.. did ya..

Kidding again.. That is one of the nicest things I've ever heard of anyone doing. Huge Kudos for that. There's such a small percentage of people who would do that anymore. And a large amount of them have money. :)

Spizz: You will forever hear for the rest of your days.. "But you didn't carry a girl around the plates on a home run.. did ya.."

P.S. Also good story about you and the pee wee league. ;)
