Is your grandma senile or does she just think you're incapable of basic knowledge? She's probably telling you that hoping that your fish will die and you won't have to use any water anymore, which is ridiculous in the first place

well she thinks i am incapable of basic knowalage. and she thinks she cause my aunt had 2 oscars 2 jacks ( breeding pair ) few convicts ( both sexes ) and all diff other fish. all in a 55 never any water changes and no heater, she thinks that my fish will be fine that way.... NO WAY they would!

theres NO way my fish will die on me! heck i love animals more then humans ( specially fish! since there the least cared for specie on earth. but not so much cold water though )

I just don't see how it's possible to keep fish in that living situation (water amount issue, temperature issue, etc). Not fair for the fish.

i want to get more filteration for my tank but gotta settle with my eheim and 20 percent water change. and there is no issues with the heater.

You need to be doing at least a 40-60 gallon weekly change and 20 won't cut it. If you had a 55 gallon with say a green terror or electric blue jack dempsey, 20 gallons would be fine but not in a large overstocked tank that isn't even filled completely.

You seriously need to consider downsizing. I know you situation and it hasn't improved much in the last few month I have been reading you post. Did you even ever put up the beam or what ever in the basement?

I know people are baggin on you LBF but i love reading your threads because you dont seem to be learning anything during you fish keeping life. I dont know how long you have had your oscars but they dont look too big to me. Everyone who keeps fish makes the mistake of getting a oscar or 2. I did it about 6 years ago when i first started keeping fish. I had 2 10 inch oscars in a 75 with a jd and my water never looked like that and my filters did just fine. Now i sold the oscars because they are a pain. Like many people who keep fish you go through periods where you dont know what you want as far as fish go. I kept my 2 oscars for about a year and a half then sold them and got a jag and kept him for 2 years then i started changing fish alot because i didnt know what i wanted. You have to find fish that you know you will keep for a while. You want too many large fish in a community. I right now only have 2 fish and thats how its going to stay for a long time because i get more enjoyment from my wolf fish and ck who are still babies than i ever have from any other fish ive kept. So think hard about what you want man and dont post every lil thing on here because your just decreasing you enjoyment of the hobby with some remarks from people. I think you should invest in a HOB filter because you really need it. Yourfish are not healthy by any means sorry to say. Even if they eat that dont mean anything. I would get out of the oscar craze and look into a new fish breed because your cichlid crazy and a 110 is a good size tank but you cant thow a crap load of fish in if your filter cant handle it. Do what you gotta do man and just pay attention and really learn man. No one on here will take you seriously if you keep on posting these threads but like me i dont care what people say but i always consider their opinions....

yupp. and the tank is only 3 inches from the bottom of the beam type thing that goes around the tank. gunna see if i can finish filling tomm. before when i didnt have the beam up it was half full. still holding now so gunna try to finish filling the tank

Using more water isn't gonna significantly increase the water bill. The amount of water used to change my tank is no more than taking 4 baths. If your pretty much paying for water bill you should be able to use as much water as you damn well please. I know you grandparents will disagree but its true.
