Not sure about the no eating eggs tho, that may be my issues with no eggs from my JD's, I did take them both out to see if that helps.

I got them both from The Wet Spot, that's my LFS so I luck out in the regards. Decent price for them as well.

You are lucky being close to wetspot, that’s where I just got my Aureus from. I’m close to CoA but he doesn’t do public admission. :’(

I’ve seen green phantom and blue phantoms around me. Some one told me the blue phantoms are mostly carnivores. Although I always thought the green were mostly vegetarian. So? I don’t know, plecos aren’t my strong point. I’ve only ever kept common pleco’s. Except for this one time I had a green phantom for about half a day. We won’t mention that tho

my green phantom does enjoy meat. It is thought that the blue and green phantoms may actually be the same species

T.Aureus are said to be the most peaceful of the Thorichthys this is my first time keeping them honestly. But everything I’ve read seems to correlate with this.

11 inches is abit big for what I’m wanting, I’d like to stay around 8 max I think. I will look at the ones you’ve suggested. Thank you, I see green phantoms and gold nuggets around me commonly, every once in a while a royal pleco. But I’m not Opposed to ordering one online either. I got my Aureus from wetspot, but I’ve ordered from Rapps before

I'm going to re-suggest the L137 because while planet catfish says 11.8" I haven't seen any reference to any larger than 8"

Both of mine seem to be eat everythingvores, from algea off of everyhing to missed pellets, algea tabs to cucumbers I give them.

I thought the green and blue phantom was the same too, but I was told otherwise. Not that the person that told me knew what they where talking about Lol.

And I’ve been going over Rapps and wetspot’s list of available pleco’s although I’m not in a hurry I’d rather find the right fit rather then rush.

From what I understand Vampire pleco’s are more on the carnivorous side.?

L137 is definitely in the running

as far as the green/blue phantom planet catfish has this to say
"May be the same species as L200 Hemiancistrus subviridis in which case L128 is the northern form. An inky black fish with variable blueish white spots."

Vampires, in fact all Leporacanthicus, are definitely carnivores here are their teeth

As far as Royals they are one of my favorites but the do get a little big however that takes a LONG time since they are wood eaters

Another that you may consider is one of the farlowella

I have an L397 and love him, although I may be being biased because L397s were my favorite pleco (who wouldn't love that colour?!) and I was lucky enough to get one as my first pleco as well :D

I rarely see mine but I think that's because he shares a tank with my green terror, and she can be a bit of a bull at times. Before he went in her tank he was in a peaceful community and I seen a fair bit of him, adequate cover and calm tank mates was all it took for him to be out and about.

They max out around 6" and have some of the coolest patterns, and the bright orange stripe colouration is a real eye catcher.

Only downside is the poop... My gosh the poop is spastic! If you've never kept plecos before, be warned! 10 3-6" goldfish didn't produce as much poop as one 4-5" pleco does. Every other day I have to syphon poop out from under wood where it accumulates so quickly!

But yeah, I suggest L397 because they're just awesome :D
