Pair/Trio of Calvus (start out with 6)
2-3 Callochromis Strappersi
8 Cyp. Leptosoma Utinta
Sounds good, but start with 5-6 Stappersi.
Cyps are not in need of rocks, instead some tall plants in the back that are thick. Spread the rock out on both sides and leave open areas throughout the tank

I like the list. The gobies are funny lil creatures. I had a wild caught pair. They were hilarious and never fought with each other. But the male died pretty early on. I heard they mate for life. Well anyway I got her a wc male for a potential new partner. As soon as he hit the tank it was on. She hated him. He was dead by morning before i knew it had even got serious. Ive had this exact same tank before. In fact i still have the fry that were produced in that tank. Get a aggressive shellie and they will hold the altolampos at bay untill they are bigger. My similis fought off my dark red altolamps and raised numerous batches side by side. Butthe similis would often eat the cyp fry if they came down to the bottom. Bottomline its a fun tank

Yes good advice. They really squabble alot. The males are really relentless with the females. As soon as u see lil pits in the sand the females are in trouble.

what do you mean by trouble? Do the males pick on the females?
Yeah in my experience they did. I had 6 and the males were trouble when breeding. I felt bad for the females bc the males would to continue to try and herd them to the "pits" even when they were holding a mouthful. They were relentless breeders and never bothered the fry or other tankmates.
