Thinking about ordering fish from apistodave?

I agree with you. It stated that it shipment was with Live Arrival and in which the fish arrived their was already DOA...and the other thing was part of his order was never shipped to him...i can see how someone would get pissed if they payed for their fish with the shipping and in return you get fish but not all and most of the order claimed was DOA. And yea The "Looks" that you keep talking about has nothing to do with this guys order and the feelings he has right now towards this. :irked: And from this guys response about your reply back to him regarding his order, with your bad tone and harsh words are VERY un-professional as to think thats doing business...you'll lose that with that tongue of attitude. He has the very Right to be mad and should be given his money back since part of the order was recieved, and most of the order he has payed for was DOA. Atleast pay for the return of the DOA shipping cost...he payed for the shipping once and is best with great business that the business man who has the stockings pay for it as replacing the ones missing and ones that arrive dead and or just give back his money for the ones he didn't get and the ones that was dead. Enough of all the trash talk and all that jibber jabber...i think its best that you do whats best to keep your customer happy...you wouldn't like it if the customer comes at your store and talks to you with a angry tone and such language that those in your store may just hear the problem and with every person leaving, business goes down...next to that its gone. I think that dave should do whats best to do whats right next time...this should be a lesson to learn Dave. ;) As to end this i think all the talking should stop and lets just let the MOD's Close this Thread so no more aggressive flaring occur and all the flaming of others come down to an end.:lock:
 
i do buy fish online occasionally, and the only shipping problem i've ever had is with USPS. i believe that this Dave, whether he's good looking or not, in the interest of goodwill, should either ship the fish that were paid for and replace the DOA's at his own expense or refund the entire purchase price.

the folks talking about word of mouth from a dissatisified customer are VERY right, i see it in the Automotive Repair business over and over. A mediocre mechanic gets lots of business because he goes out of his way to do simple things for his customers for free like changing a fuse or a wiper blade. And the Great mechanic with excellent diagnostic skills is sitting on his hands because he always has to be right and argues with his customers and never gives even the simple things like a battery load test without charging for it.

I did an order with David Soares.. aka ''Apistodave'' on aquabid..

My experience with him has been BRUTAL.

He didn't send all the fish I ordered and paid for. Then tried to tell me I was lying to him about it and refused to refund me for the fish that weren't sent.

The fish were not the size specified, or the sex he stated.

2 of the fish had tail rot. 1 looks treatable, the other will surely die. 2 others look like 1/2 their body is paralyzed. I don't think they will last more then a week.

I paid $170 for a total of 10 fish. Not the 12 I ordered.

Communicating with him was like pulling teeth. I must have had to send 20 emails to get 3 simple questions answered.


The bottom line is don't order from David Soares aka Apistodave.
