you are allowed to own them buy they arent allowed to be imported into the country.

which is why they cost so much, fake paper work and such to get them in...

In Victoria, there is a shop called 'Reeflections' and is one of the best places to shop for marines.

I strongly suggest you buy all the filters and equipment like that over in Canada then just ship it over when you move. You'll save a truck load, which is good because you'll need the cash to pay for the 7.5% intrest rate. In less then 12 months, we've had 6 rises.

Seriously though, whether you love fish or not Australia is one of the most beautiful continents in the world. Keeping any aquarium may be a little more expensive but it's worth it.
