Ironically Frank, the Calgary HS first mandate in 1922 included the protection of children, homeless people, as well as animals. Today there are other organizations in place for children, and the homeless in Calgary and the surrounding area.
Bill, I have read the Calgary HS Statements of Position, and I happen to agree with most of it. Not all of it, but most of it. The majority of it does not read like a nut job wrote it, in fact I dare say that it reads just like I might write it for someone who I left in charge of my animals. While you focus on the few negative issues in their position on animal rights, I prefer to focus on the majority of positive positions.
And these are just their position statements, their beliefs as an organization. If I told you that I am not a fan of the rodeo (other than when I was single, because back then cowgirls were sexy hot) would that make me an animal rights activist nut job? If I told you that I would prefer to keep captive bred fish, reptiles etc, because I would rather not support the removal of animals from the wild, would that make me an animal rights activist nut job?
