This is sad

Well....how old is our oldest member and how long has he or she had their fish?

not counting the wife?

I see what feriousfish is saying. 43 years is a long time to have a fish. If someone created an account here and said they had a fish for 43 years he would be called a troll and a liar. If we never saw the fish and the tank everyone would say it was impressive.

That fish does look like crap. He should of transferred the fish 41 years ago and he would have to worry about stressing him out.

Well if it is not 43 then i take my statement back... But my question is- how come nobody on this site with their gigantic tanks and dedication have kept a fish for 43 years? But the guy with the pacu may just be lying...

Well, most people with giant tanks or ponds havn't had their pond or tank (or been alive) for 43 years.
I agree with buffalo polypteridae, I'm sure this fish has been switched around multiple times.

"I wouldn't part with him or sell him".....Guess the thought of putting him in a bigger tank never occurred to the owner either.

yes that would be a great gift to the 43 year old pacu who brought the pet store owner some fame.

Which that fish might not be 43 years old after all....
