Yeah and couple other things he said it was born on that day so he got the Pacu as an egg. How old does that man look mid fifty's. That make him around 12 years old when he got the fish in his store.

I am not sure but I assume the fish is a pacu. Does any one hear know how long pacu live to. Once we have this info we can then call the man a liar on the age of the fish. Until then he should be given the benefit of a doubt. He must care for this fish I mean in 43 years it must of been sick. Yet this fish is still alive. Why if this is so cruel and some of you are so upset do you not find out where this store is? Go pay the man what it takes and recue the fish. Sitting on hear and belly aching is not helping that fish. In fact it is exactly what our friends at peta would do.
I think the guy did mention that he would not sell or give away the fish so we are pretty much stuck with discussing or bellyaching about it.
Too bad the guy will probably never get whatever his price is for his cramped and deformed pacu....I think this time around this thread lasted longer than the first one that was posted a year or so ago lol!
Well if it is not 43 then i take my statement back... But my question is- how come nobody on this site with their gigantic tanks and dedication have kept a fish for 43 years? But the guy with the pacu may just be lying...

We don't have great knowledge on fish keeping or have better husbandry back then. No internet and you have to rely on the books.
