I actually liked the Op Buys at PetsMart...I found some hard to get cories there! (like C. elegans!)....and not to mention bristlenose plecos too...

I actually found 6 inch long banjo cats at a Petco. All of them had concave bellies, but all are now almost fat from the food in my tank!

a local fish store that i don't go to much anymore tried to tell me that an Urau was a brackish fish. can u imagine dumping all that salt on an Urau.

there is a certain shop in my city where the juvenile "Cichlasoma" pearsei and "Cichlasoma" bocourti are being fed (or they try to feed) with live feeder guppies. they are very skinny because they dont eat the feeders and are slowly starving. they are in narrow divided tanks like bettas! i tried to talk to the store help regarding this but i dont think none of them understood what i was talking about. do they know how valuable these fish are to be treated like that?! i wanted to drown whoever is responsible for this stupidity/ignorance.

It's really sad to know that people really do - do that. I've noticed quite a few places around here that dont starve their fish, but they keep them in tiny tanks when they are 3x bigger then the tank.
