Love the look! How long has your softshell been in there? Any issues? Basking area? Feeding with all those other monsters? Do tell...;)
thx! i'd say he's been in there for a good 3 months. when i first got him he developed a bit of shell fungus so i got him a little floating turtle dock. to be honest, ive only seen him on it a few times but the fungus has never returned and he's doing great.

he's a greedy little pig and has no problem getting in the mix with the cichla. he'll even come all the way to the top and stick his head over the rim of the tank, i hand feed him a lot. :)

Nice, that turtle sounds awesome!!:headbang2
Any pics of the RN's and Monos?:D
I would lovw to see them also.:nilly:

looking good, also looking at your soft shell in there makes me miss mine, how big is yours, mine was 10" when i sold him for only $20, i am thinking about picking up another one but its only 4"

just checkin.. isnt 100 leaves for 1000gallon ? ._. i added like 10 to mine , but one problem... they float xD so how'd u get it down ?

Pimpn is pimpn.. Homie... Just don't get caught TrICk'n... LoL..

well the ebay listing said add 1 leaf for every 10-15 gallons of water, so thats what i did. i just put them in a laundry bag and toss into my sump

I'd been thinking about putting my softshell in my big tank. Just put him in after seeing yours... I think once the monsters get over the fact that he isn't food, I think he'll be ok. We'll see. How big is your softshell anyway?

id say he's about 8" in diameter. the cichla took a swipe at his head a few times when i first threw him in there LOL. now he's just one of the fish :)

You should still be able to test the ph okay. The water looks darker because your looking though 3ft of it. It should still be quite clear in a little test tube.
Gotta agree with mjuniorc on the water changes. I would do maybe three 20% water changes spread throughout the week.
