LOL, I didn't mean like bringing your own steak knife... Just that a lot of people carry a knife everywhere. I used too until I started wearing skinny jeans, now I leave it in the car or my briefcase. Its simply a handy tool to have, and I don't see why I should have to make sure I "check" it in my luggage.

You can? thanks for that info, now I'll pack some defensive equipment. if the knitting needle doesn't take 'em down, we can strangle them with yarn.I always thought it was funny that you could carry aboard a 12" steel knitting needle but not a 2" boy scout pocket knife.
