It doesn't matter who or where you get fish from, they should always be quarantined, and not only because of where they came from.
Over time your current fish may have developed a semi-immunity to something normally in your tank, something that the new fish aren't at all immune to, and if the new fish get it, it could overwhelm the tank into an all epidemic.
This is why whenever I get new fish, I add some water to the quarantine tank from the tank they will be going into, every day with water changes. In this way, if there is an infectious agent in the tank, it gives the new fish time, to build an immunity, but not be overwhelmed by it.

good to know. i was looking for some honest reviews of imperial tropicals. just a fyi ive had undersized/dead fish problems like this from bluegrassaquatics as well.
No they are an amazing shop. Quick dilevery and cheap shipping. I just didn’t think they’d be so small. That’s not their fault

Standard practice for me, would be putting any new fish in a quarantine tank for about 2 months, before subjecting the current fish to any diseases the new fish could be carrying.
I believe setting up the new tank, could be a blessing in disguise.
Ahhh you are wise. Thank u for the advice!

Did I miss something? What sucks?

Have good luck buying from that supplier? I've been out of the hobby for about 5 yrs and never considered buying online back then? If it's successful, it would make getting a juvenile Frontosa doable after I get my 90 up and running. Man the hobby has changed and have a lot of catching up to do.
