That's what I thought. I got my cc refund 2 weeks ago. Just wondering what paypal was saying and figured it would end up like this.

this is terrible, sorry to all you who lost money and time because some sob tried to make a quick buck.

I was able to cancel 230 of the 300, through my bank, when I explained that I was not recieving the item, since they could trace that amount directly. I just don't understand paypal however, as I get an email from them saying they are sorry they can't recover my funds, then I get one shortly after a few days later (since my bank cancelled 230 of those funds) that I owe them that money, as thier unable to recover it, bc apparently they 'fronted' me the money when I paid for the item, even though quite a bit of it came directly from my paypal balance. I called them last week about this and said you can just have the funds when you recover them from the guy, and they told me no, I owe them that money, not him, and that creditors could come after me, and wanted me to restore my balance so that I could continue using paypal, like I would still want to or something :screwy:

Credit Cards are federally insured - PayPal is a middle man. They don't have any legal power once funds are out of their hands.

Credit cards are NOT Federally insured, where do you get your information?

From my email
Quote:
Dear Tuan Che,

We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your
favor.

We were able to recover $135.69 USD and this amount has been credited to
you. Please allow five business days for this adjustment to be posted.

If you are due any additional funds, we will make our best effort to
recover the balance from the seller.

If the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owed
to you, please be assured that we will take appropriate action against the
seller's account, which may include limitation of the seller's account
privileges.
And another one for $155.06

This doesn't mean anything if the account has no money in it right?

:OMG:
I got a refund from Paypal yesterday. No joke. They just added those funds back to me plus the refund from my bank.

Just checked my account this morning.

thizzle paypal is probably going to send you the same message saying you owe them the money since your cc canceled the payment. so you wont get paid twice, well you might but then they will say you owe them. imo you should leave the money they refunded in your paypal acct. cause they will take it back out of there.

on the steele case, if you dont do anything they will use your name in the case, since you filed a complaint with paypal they can do this, and when they count up all the money pay pal owes yours will be included, then everyone who is involved and signs and sends in the form will get a percentage depending on how much they were out in the beginning. will prolly wind up getting 50% of your money back or somewhere in that neighborhood. if you do send the form back your name will be used and you will get your cut. if you send the form back to deny it your name will not be used and you can file your own suit later on, or be involved in another group settlement if there is one.

all this is just my understanding of the situation. my wife used to work for a law agency that was the middle man between a law firm and its thousands of customers, and my cousin is a lawyer that handles class action lawsuits, so in my opinion that is what that all means.

Even though interest has died on this case, here is a little info that I found on Jessica: http://www.dc.state.fl.us/ActiveOffenders/detail.asp?Bookmark=4&From=list&SessionID=781706032

and here is a pic that she posted of herself years ago (she has changed a lot)

By the way, I can't find a police agency to take the information that I have dug up but I'll bet her probation officer will be interested in what she has been up too :naughty:
