Yes, I’d recommend yellow labs, acei, rustys, Jalo reef mbuna or mbamba(not both -Jalo/mbamba) That’s probably about it that I know of. Others can work but i wouldn’t try it until you’re more experienced. Diet is also an issue, mbuna are mostly veggie eaters and haps n peacocks more carnivorous/omnivores. Too much protein will kill mbuna

Avoid same species, and look alikes. Also only get males or if you’re on a tight budget, get unsexed juvies and remove the females as soon as you can tell them apart

friltration will have to be heavy since i have to overstock? would a sump or 2 canisters do the job well enough
