i have a CAST net-not throw net or castING net. just cast net. I have never seen it seriously harm fish,a nd they stay alive just fine. A sthe guy from florida said, you can cover a lot of water witha cast net. I have a 12' here, but I live closer to lakes, so I use a 6' or sometimes even a 3' (there's a lake where you can see fish and jsut have to throw the net on top of 'em) You can also use the cast net to catch turtles, bot on land and in water.

I think I'm going to get a Yankee throw net, all the Twins ones are gone.

my brand is called old salt

I just used mine for the first time today. Didn't catch anything (didn't think I would) but I caught on to it pretty quick and was not as difficult to use as I thought it would be.

Wait, I actually did catch something, a dead muskrat on my first cast into a pond.

I want to try and use a throw net to catch small stuff as feeders. I am going to do some searching for crayfish in the summer for the tigrinus.

me and my friends use them all the time so we can get cheap bait while were fishin
