Wow that looks great, I cant wait to see more. and ass for glass thickness i would go for at leat 15mm and the thicker the better. get the thickest that you can afford. It is just common sense, the thicker it is the less likely it is to bow and break from impact.

Dont turn my brown birch blue... I wasnt going to build a sump, but why not.

Instead of building and then sealing, I am going to seal with pond shield competition blue first, then cut and use silicone in the seams.

Nice day in Santa Fe to be outside.

Assessing the damage. Warm enough for shorts last night at 5 pm when I appied the top coat. Out of nowhere a wind storm blew up at sun set. No major damage. Few pine needles and grass seed on the two on the ground. It gives me future ideas! The two on the saw horses, well, they froze! Bridge may ice in cold weather. It is now 8:48 NEW TIME, ugggg. And that is the shaddy side of the house. No sun until 10:30. Didnt see that one coming.IMG_2032.JPG IMG_2035.JPG IMG_2036.JPG

Frosted areas had to be sanded. Will add a touch up coat later.

Modified the stand. The length grew by 1.5 inches.

The cut out will be for plumming, electrical.

Yep, its heavy.IMG_2050.JPG IMG_2049.JPG IMG_2051.JPG

A few more photos from the weekend. I still cant believe the frost.

Shimmed the inside of the stand with 1/2" birch. I think it is 1/2"IMG_2040.JPG IMG_2042.JPG IMG_2044.JPG IMG_2046.JPG IMG_2047.JPG IMG_2053.JPG

Baby steps after worrk. Pieces are fitting together well. I plan to silicone the seams. Two 1.5" bulkheads will connect the two "sumps". The return pump will be on the right. The original plan was to further divide each side in half. I kind of like the open space. About 110 gal each side.

I will use the front and back pannels of a 75gal for each front.

I may divide just the right side IMG_2060.JPG
