Those lights look awesome! Can you post a link or give a little info on them? Where to pick some up?

IMG_1368.JPG IMG_1367.JPG This is going to be harder than I thought. I built two templates to organize the bulkheads. Goal: no visible pluming etc. the 3 will be 2 return lines and one exit to the external filter. The box will also house the heaters. My design has changed four times since in the last 2 weeks. I dont want to skrew this to the walls so I will build a track for it and I will attach to that. Will use silicone to seal.

Other side will be the overflow.

This way in the event of a bulkhead failure there will be a fail safe

The uneven tank floor is complicaing matters (epoxy)

IMG_1369.JPG The pre epoxied plywood! This will be the overflow tower. Not sure how I will muffle it, but i will find a way. A small pillow case full of peat moss will go in the tower

The intake will be similar with an emergency spillway to n top and three 1.5" bulkheads out of view with strainers

The out of view side of the boxes will have LED strip lights (if they work under water)

IMG_1371.JPG IMG_1373.JPG IMG_1376.JPG This is where it gets interesting.

Plexyglass mounted with silicone pretection so I can further build the mounts for my sand fall.

I will also attach 2 other mounts to hold 3/4 pvc so I can run air tubing, and possible LED lights to the aquarium floor.

3D surround, including the bottom with many many 1.5, 2, and 3" holes to build potters.

Saving room for when I insert the glass, will finish that later

Cant really focus on any one of the features yet because each has a factor on one another.

Here is hoping. I said the rest is a total experiment.

Wouldn't you be better off putting everything at one end and use one box that goes from to back, eliminating the "dead zone" behind the box?

Also, I've been looking at your glass opening. What supports the short side of the glass?

Thanks for a he reply. My original plan was to go all the way from front to back with overflow, but saw an opportuniy to have more planted areas and 3d stuctures.

When I looked at it when I first completed the 8' window on a 10' tank. I was amazed at the visability to the rear corners.

The plumming below, filters, outside drain direct the box locations. I keep getting ideas for the next one.

As far as the glass mount. I will finish the frame with 3/4 maple. When finished it will be doubled 3/4 maple. Ran out.

Basic shape. Will have a lot of carving to do.

Building a stand for 3/4" pvc. Will have a plexyglass "sand box" at the bottom to route the sand.

I will see if I can post a few of my current aquarium.
