I'll take new england weather over weather anywhere else. You guys in SD don't have any days off of school because of snow days now do you :p

its not much better here in texas right now. its like 55 out now which i might be able to tolerate, but tomorrow snow/winter mix and tomorrow night snow and 18 degrees! wtf???? just saturday was almost 80. people were wearing shorts and tank tops hanging xmas lights and such. now a blizzard it seems. i blame canada! damn you canadians! keep you weather up there where it belongs, eh! texas is supposed to be hot! lol!

Kids down here dont snow days. They get hurricane days. Its something like 5 extra days built into the school year just incase of a hurricane.

If you hate the weather where you live MOVE.You only live once dont waste it being bummed.Me I love the cold weather. If the house is warm enough for everone else to be comfortable,I go outside and stand in the snow in my bare feet to cool off.Drive around with the top down all winter, love to catch snowflakes on my tounge at 80mph yeeehaaa!!! :headbang2

We get over 100 of inches of rain a year here and I would gladly trade the rain for cold.
Do you live on the west side of the Olympic Peninsula or further south on the coast? Most populated areas of Washington state get far less rainfall. For example, the Seattle-Tacoma area averages around 40 inches of rainfall, but it rains over 150 days a year on average. I used to live there. The Olympic Peninsula rainshadows most of the Seattle-Tacoma metro area, resulting in less total rainfall than you would otherwise expect. However, it drizzles often. :(

Here in Sacramento, we've had morning frost, with lows in the 30s, but the days have gotten into the mid 50s. No complaints here. :)

I live right near the rain forest. In Quinault some years they get 140" of rain. Last few years we havent got to much rain I think last year we got in the neighborhood of 60-70". One good thing about the rain is that it keeps the city looking pretty clean. I am about 30 Minutes south of the Olympic Rainforest and 30 minutes east of the ocean.

Along the Hoh river 70" in a year is a drought and they close the forests due to fire hazards.
