To all younger fish keepers. 25 and under

i dont get crap from my friends, some of them keep fish, but even the ones that dont have any pets are fascinated by the animals for a little while when viewing them.

i think its weirder not to have a hobby, next time ask them there hobby.
if its video games, thats lame, i play them but i wouldnt list that as a hobby.
if its work, they should get a life.
if its partying, thats stupid partying isnt a hobby
if its hunting, its just going out with there friends and drinking beer in the woods, i could do that at home and play duck hunt lol
if its sports, average hobby but its very likely to stop after college or high school.
more then likely if they have hobby it could be viewed as just as lame as fish keeping, i doubt there gonna say something cool like making fireworks.
suddenly the fish hobby doesnt look so bad does it?

Yeah. Are those your O's in your avatar? If they are, they're very pretty. I have 2 red's, and they are retards..they hide from everyone and are TERRIFIED of a 3 inch pleco named Munchies my friend pawned off on me a few days ago. They are my favorite fish though lol...gotta love them.

Yep i get alot of it from every1 i only started one and a half years ago so yeah... and im only like 24 now so a lot of my friends just rolll their eyes. But its more funny when i force them to come over to check out my fish and more fun when they just sya get over it.

I get that from some people but most of them after they see my fish go and get a tank of their own! LOL

I have that effect on people too! Most people think I'm weird (which I am) for liking fish, or they think I'm a softie (no clue why). Then I show them that the fish I make sculptures of actually exist and they immediately change their minds. Some of my "tough guy" friends think fish are weak or not tough enough, until I show them a GATF or payara. I've actually indirectly convinced about 5 of my friends to start up tanks or get back into the hobby.

They have lost the innocence that wonders at the greatness of nature and the beauty of being able to keep living creatures.

Pay them no mind for they are not worthy of the thoughts.

I did have one experiance of this girl i met at a local bar we were drunk and didnt talk much and we ended up going back to my place in my bedroom is a few hundred gallon tanks. The one next to the bed was buzzing and well i didnt stop and fix it and we started getting intimate and well when i become a missonary on my bed she looks over and the tank was really buzzing now no music so it was really noticeable then right in the middle shes like i gotta go home. To say the least i never saw her again. Note to self never let tanks buzz when trying to get it on. I guess she just looked over saw the monsters and the buzzing and called it quits. ITs ok she was ugly so it was weird she just quit but deep down i know it was the massive tank buzzing tank with monsters in it that freaked her out.


But on the plus side Ive had 4 different girlfriends get freshwater tanks. Ya ive been doing fish for 20years In fact my best friend of 9 years jumped straight into keeping corals talk about being well informed.
