1526017147737963431697.jpg I am loving these plants. They have brought a new interaction level in the tank. Everyone seems calmer, more colorful, heck Catness is even out more.

Seems the sword is taking off as well. This branch has gained a foot in length since planting in my tank.

I have had my Roseline sharks as long as Toni. And they too have put on the poundage. I have not updated about them in a but so here goes.

They are in the 55gal with the HRPs and Blue Acura. They seem to be thriving. Nice and chunky and full of color.

Toni is such a big ham.

So this morning's feeding Hotlipz was first to the spot and got the first Carnistick tossed into the tank. I feed them 1 stick at a time other wise Toni grabs a bunch, and most of it ends up in the water colum. Hotlipz swims off with her food. I toss in another Toni grabs it, spits it out and swims off and has not eaten at all the rest if the day. Tried to tempt her with krill, same thing. Spits it out and swims off. Aperantly she is mad at me and is going on a hunger strike......

She was mad at me for feeding Hotlipz first......lasted till tonights feeding were she was smashing around, eating everyone's food. The SDs romane lettuce check ate it, the sinking carnivore pellets for Catness, check ate that too.

So I think I have finally acceted that the 125 will be just Toni's home, no other cichlids. Everyone seems to be a lot happier, calmer, not so hypersensitive to movement near the tank.

The plant of DOOM seems to be doing great. It's sending out more runners. Already clipped off 3 starts and put them in my 20gal planted Beta tank and are thriving.

So now that I gave up the idea of two cichlids in the 125, what do you all think of upping the SDs to 8 from 5 or instead maybe a Flagtail.

Also I have had my eye on this 6in or so L330 Royal Pleco that's at The Wet Spot.

What do you all think? More SDs, get the Flagtail? I have plenty of wood for the Royal to munch on, would it get along with Catness?

Reactions: Cichlids-r-beasts
So Toni has been eating more lately. Not sure why, if it's just the amount she needs now, or maybe she is about to make a batch of eggs and needs the calories to make them.

She used to eat 3 Jumbo Carnisticks 3x a day. So 9 sticks a day. I have changed her to two feedings a day now but she eats 7 to 9 a time before she swims away telling me she is full.

So I am curious what you all feed a 10 inch cichlid daily. Now mind you Toni is still growing and not a full adult fish yet.
