Toni and Nemo my albino Oscar's

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Maybe you can ship one to me. The hubby was saying this morning that he thinks Laz should have a tank mate. He voiced an opinion that he would like to see the 400g I have in the works used for the oscar. He likes Lazarus better than my GF&K or anything in my junk tank.

So I have had this idea in my head a couple of days now.
I am totally digging my new tank and my 55 ATM. I love the fact that I have cool little cichlids with attitudes, but not so much that they slaughter/eat everything else in the tank.
So I was thinking of maybe selling Toni and Catness if and only if I could make enough to restock the tank.
The highest asking price I have seen for an Oscar is $150. That was a 12in Veiltail so I see why the peice, those are rare enough let alone 12in one.
So if I was to sell her, what do you all think I should ask for her?
I did call the Wet Spot and see if they could ship her. They said yes, tho would be spendy due to her size, around $130ish range. And not quanteed due to her not being thier fish. But he said she should be fine for a overnight delivery.
So I am at a loss, how do I charge enough to get new fish, when more than likely, unless someone local grabs her, they will have to pay all that shipping......
Don't get me wrong I love the ol' girl but of late not so much.....maybe I should just wait a bit....

If you do rehome her I wil be a little sad to see her go. But I know you'd do your best to a see her go to someone who would take good care of her.

I thinks it's just "New Tank Syndrome". All jazzed about the new tank and fish, wanting to do the same to that tank.
You know hindsight is 20/20, I should have used the new tank to grow out a mate for Toni.

I wouldn't get rid of a solid fish like that unless there was something you'd always wanted to try raising. Being a part of this forum introduces you to all these other types of setups. It makes it really hard to keep a single species for its life.

I hear what your saying, think that's what it is, there are so many species I want I think I would need twenty 125g tanks plus half as many 240s to house them all.......

Humm I do have this 50gal corner tank sitting there doing nothing......15338412219172038698863.jpg

Could grow out an O in there......
The Wet Spot has Albino Reds in ATM......

Humm the corner tank needs resealed.......
My 46bow just needs a stand made. Think I will go with the bowfront and get Toni and Albino Red Oscar hubby!
