Toni and Nemo my albino Oscar's

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Checking out the stripped SD's closely today, I notice there are two with the the extra long dorsal fins, and three with short ones.
The fish in my previous post and this one are the ones that slab box each other to be BOSS of the pack.

This one never wins and shows the signs of combat with it's tail damage. No one else in the tank has this damage SD's, Catness nor Toni.

I'm suprised it lasted as long as it did, I've been impressed you have kept the tank looking so nice with such a large Oscar in it. Normally all I see are bare tanks with all the gravel piled up in one corner!

A lot of this is Toni herself. She is pretty docile for such a big fish. Especially now that she is alone cichlid wise. Most of the day she just swims in place behind the plant.20180610_160557.jpg

Every now and then she gets a dose of pep and plays ring around the plant with the SD's. Till she gets mad that she can't catch them and rips apart another leaf that they use to escape her. Then right back to her spot behind the plant.

Never had Spotted SD's nip tankmates fins and hopefully they never nip Toni's.

No I think it's just the big Stripped SD doing it to the smaller one when they fight over who is top Stripped Silver Dollar.

Ok great my Spotted would squabble but they are older and haven't observed it lately.

Don't know how good this will carry over, but Toni seems to think she is a Betta now, parking in the plant of DOOM, and sleeping.....20180616_210136.jpg

Click on it to see the big version works.

OMG just saw some funny stuff.
A fly landed on the front of the tank.....Toni tried to eat it thru the acrylic........I was laughing so hard I missed grabbng a pic of it.

So I must say fish sure can heal up fast if given half a chance.

This poor SD got nipped by Toni. 20180617_132135.jpg

Here a week later, almost 100% back to normal 20180617_132029.jpg
