AThat guys job is to sell guns, Not talk call of duty and make sure he will be a responsible gun owner.

I totally disagree. It should be the guys job to make sure the person will be responsible. Just like it should be the LFS employees job to make sure the person can handle the RTC he/she wants to buy.

Unfortunately these days, that never happens. Folks only care about making a sale. But afterall, can you really blame them?

If they were illegal then there wouldn't be exclusions. They are just controlled under the GCA of 1968. I know lots of Class III sellers that have silencers in California. It's just next to impossible to get unless you jump through the hoops and pay for your tax stamps. Think of it as the next step up from the CCW, use to be next to impossible to get in California to but that's starting to change.

Well everything's available to military and LEO. Class III stuff isn't something the average citizen will get involved with for the reasons you say. Fact is, if you show up to the gun range with a real silencer in CA, you'll be face down on the ground with a dozen cops pointing guns at you, that is until you explain to them you somehow obtained it legally. :D

CCWs, don't even get me started on this. I'm waiting for the days we become a shall-issue state :)

And we should sew peoples mouths shut if the cant speak responsibly, right?
I cant see the correlation between animal abuse and civil rights.

And all these people coming in to buy Nemo-Fish should be laughed out of the store because they havent done the proper fish-care research? Keeping fish is much harder than owning a gun, plus it isnt a constitutional right. That guys job is to sell guns, Not talk call of duty and make sure he will be a responsible gun owner.
Small gun store owners are smug because their life is guns. Just because someone doesnt research everything they do, doesnt make them the dumbest people on the planet, Its the shop keepers job to assist customers not judge them.

If you spent time working in a fish shop and had to deal with clownfish coming back dead after being kept in a FW bowl you might feel differently. Its easy to write off ignorance to a point. But i was in that situation for a while after the movie came out and after a while i stopped forgiving people. Common sense and basic research go a long way.

I guess I'm just lucky that when I go to the range I'm usually with LEO's so there's no questioning by others except to ask to try to send a few rounds down range. Private ranges, also makes this less of a hassle.

Selling somebody who has a FW bowl a Clown is equivalent to selling a Jerry's kid a shotgun.
Its retarded.
Its the petstores fault the fish died. No body elses. But I guess thats the price you pay when you exploit animals for profit.

Not always the pet stores fault. Some times people don't talk about their setups. People also lie, I will admit I did it as well in my early fish days.
