Too Overstocked?

As long as you are just using that tank as a grow out, sure. If you're planning on this being their permanent home, no. If you don't have a larger tank or tanks for all those fish to be moved to soon (within a few months), I would worry about buying some tanks/filters before buying fish. It won't be long until you will have to transfer or get rid of some of your stock in that tank. Already, I think you should put the polys into their own tank.

I don't think that tank is wide enough for even 1 oscar.

... erm my tank is a 5ft 100g its 5ft by 20 inches be 18 inches, i think its wide enough for one oscar :D

Lets say you have a shoulder width of 20 inches. So you would be fine living in a house that was only 22 inches wide? An oscar CAN live in that tank but won't be very comfortable.

You can always go with a 150 gallon that is a tall tank, the one I saw only seem to be maybe 4 in half ft the most,24 inches wide and standing tall 4ft or 5ft.The 120 gallon long tank I saw was at least 5 in half ft maybe close to 6ft,20 inches wide, and about 4ft tall.

I think you have a large bioload. Given that filtration is sufficient and you do frequent water changes your fish should be ok. Polys are not super active (what polypterus do you have? Sorry if I missed it). Your tank is the same footprint as a 120 that I had except yours is shorter. 2 oscars will be ok. Again this is personal preference. I would say the average oscar is 12-14" I have to agree with jagd24 on this. You ask a question like this and some ppl are just totally overkill. It's ultimately your decision and your fish. Just my .02!

Ha I got so caught up in some ppl flaming you because of your stock I forgot to give you an answer. No, I wouldn't add a green terror.
