MN rebel, please show us some information on what you say. That may be the case in Malaysia, I have no clue. I am speaking more about USA.
There are few reports that some people have caught some FH from the canals. However as you know Florida's full of screwed ups, full of random fish thats supposed not be there.

How do you know a person didn't confuse it for a trimac.

It would be idiotic to put a hundred dollar fish into a canal.

Plenty of idiots living on our Earth would do that. Not all FH are worth of $200, some FH are cheaper cost like $5.99. And its possibly that a FH breeder got bad batch of ugliest FH he bred from his high quality FH then dump into the canals.

your right...

Here's a picture of a Pacu caught in North Dakota.

And this is NOT the first time I've heard of Pacu being caught while fishing in the US. Ergo, all Pacu owners are inexperienced fools who don't know the first thing about fishkeeping or conservation. Right?

:grinno:

lol i have 2, both low grade so def not in it for the money lol, i have 3 tanks currently up, only 1 fh has his own the tank, the other is in my main tank with all sorts of fish/eels/cats/plecs lol
i keep them responsibly and would never release them...even if i did they would b dead by the time they hit the water its so cold!
i belong on here so have friends that are also in the hobby and only a couple own fhs.....i could keep goin as can everyone else.

it's entirely possable IMO. I just have seen no information other than word of mouth. I produced some solid information, I'm open to the possibility FH are in the wild, I would just like some information and not just word of mouth. I remember seeing a thread on FHUSA a lonnnnggggg time ago that supossedly someone caught a bunch of FH with a fishing pole, but that was in Asia somewhere. I'm talking about USA though.
