The coffee table design seems to have some good ventilation to me... in fact it is more than what other reptiles are given. Anyway, wooden vivariums does not means glass doors anyway. :screwy:

It have already been established that if tortoises can see way their way out, it is not good for them.

Agreed. Also, I don't see the difference between an indoor rabbit cage and a coffee table with just glass at the top if the sides are high enough...

Well i have 2 because someone sent me an email asking why i post my plants and things onto my ne0nkd account, i said why wouldn't i? and they said well it just seems wierd cuz i state im an animal guy, not a plant guy...when really im both of them.
However, i guess it was wierd! but anyway i decided to make another one and thats how it happened =\ pretty stupid now..but unfortunately i cant go back to 1 account because it will take forever to take off my photos from Nature, to ne0nkd urgh too much.

Alright, I don't really believe this. Reptiles have low metabolic rate in comparsion to other animals. This also means they have low respiratory rate as well. Turtles are no expection here. If a monitor can do fine in a limited airflow in a vivarium or cattle trough, then a tortoise can as well.

If I remember correctly, the original poster ask for criticism of his or her design, not complete oblivation. So, if you don't think there is enough air circulation, make a suggestion how to increase it.

The coffeee table doesnt.
and the ventilation in the diagramme just appears to little to me.
...disagree to agree

Im not talking about ventalation here. There are more than enough ways around that. I mean it being high enough for them to not see out, like I said.

I know someone with a setup like this. Its very simple, dimensions roughly 4x3x1.5ft (lxwxh). There is screen on two sides with large access doors. The only thing is running a cord to it for power hookup, that can get in the way depending on the room.
