Totally Disappointed...

My tank is a new 180 that has been cycling with 2 sponge filters from an existing tank. These are the first fish in the tank. Levels are just great for livestock and plants have been growing since I filled the tank up. There is no real DOA policy on their web site that I can find..other than email us and will make it right..... Make it right???? What about the dead fish??? I can't understand why someone who sells live fish will not even check / respond to their email on day of delivery.. Poor fish and even poorer service.

How long was it cycling with the seeded sponge filters? If you left it cycling for too long with no fish in the tank to produce waste the BB could have just died.
 
Sounds like the company was inexperienced with shipping fish. That is a high DOA for overnight shipping. How did you acclimate the living fish? Also did you get your fish immediately once they were delivered or did they sit outside for hours before you got them?
 
hm i hope the place where you order has some sort of reimbursement, i would take some pictures + the time, so they dont blame you for what has happen.
 
Wow, that's a real bummer. Hopefully they give you a full new order and let you keep whatever survived for the trouble.
 
Stuff like this is what makes me a little scared to order my fish online :(
And well anything I want my fav lfs gets it for me

Try aquascapeonline. They are legit and experienced. Plus, they are near your area (New Jersey I think?)... unless they are the store you ordered from..
