Toughest fish, pound-for-pound?

Wolves. Very water quality tolerant won't back down from anything large protective scales. Only fish that I have had that tries to bite you when you are outside the tank
 
Either convicts or neets
 
the only fish that has hurt me is a spotted Raphael, squeezed its pectorial spines into my thumb. feel like rock, seem to be indestructible and can hurt a 14 stone man lol... ive had Oscars, Asian arowana and midas bite me with no real pain. had a tsn stab me aswell actually that stung a bit...
5 star generals are as mean if not worse than convicts.

I used to be very very careful with my Raphael, even just looking at them; its a fish you definitely do not want to touch by choice lol
 
was trying to do it a favour, didn't want it tangled in the net... screamed its war cry as it got me too haha...
