first i'm human i think in complex way ... and its just a fish it can't think like me so i will not be happy but the arowana will be happy in my tank .. all what she need is to move and eat and a good water to live thats it doesn't need a whole ocean in my house to live in it

and i can't build any big tank there is no room for it and i'm only 19 i'm in university there is no enough money for a 500gl tank so i'm sorry i will buy that arowana or that parroon shark there is no doubt about it
its just a fish are you kidding me fish are animals and should have full respect there not just a pet there family think about it is a 3ft fish in a 20" wide tank will hardly be able to turn fish. and yes big 3ft plus fish dont need a ocean they need a large bodie of water not a puddle like your tank well that's how the arowana will think of it and it wont be happy in a tank it can barley swim in and it will grow if it doesn't die. just leave it mate think of the fish not just cause you want it its also sad to think someone will be cruel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzGEcc-33PI look at this that silver you want will be way more cramped in your tank

Okay so it dosent matter how big my tank is? The fish dosent care if it can turn or not?

See ya later guys I'm gonna be going fishing for white sharks and put about ten of them in my 10 gallon because thats what I want

I just read through this whole thread, I am deeply saddened, I have a very deep love for fish, and go one person to disrespect a fish so much is just horrible. How could you do that.
Respect a fishes needs please. /:

This will be your last post?

Thanks be to god!
Nobody gives a crap about what you have to say because the point you are trying to make is a stupid one.
You don't belong on monster fish keepers either.

As to op, you will learn that silvers can be a bit skittish; housed in too small a tank will increase that trait. It is not uncommon to have it spooked and knock itself out on the cover glass, or worse break the cover and land on the floor.

Before Internet forums, I had a 20 inch RTC in a 110 and three 18 inch silver aros and a 10 inch tiger shovel nose in a 125. It worked while I had them but I had to sell them all when they became too big.

I was 22 at that time.
