Guys, there are too schools of thought regarding this topic, and I'm sort of part of both.
The first is that he shouldn't get the fish at all.
The second is that when he does get the fish and inevitably kill them, the quicker this sorry excuse for a fish keeper will be out of the hobby.
I'm very sad that he's so stubborn and is going to kill the poor guys, but his mind is made up it seems.

looool how's anyone being self-righteous?
All we care about is the well-being of an aro and 2 paroon sharks.
the op is stupid. There's only too ways of going about it. you either have a large enough tank or you don't

i told i will not buy the arowana i will buy the parooon sharks !!!

They arent as flexible as the arowana so the conclusion of this is that you're dumb and a animal-killer

They can grow to eight feet and likes to cruise the open water.

This is what I actually suggest: buy a small jardini if you have them or grow out small silvers. If you really like them, you'll look for ways to upgrade the tank, 180 is okay for a jardini(others will disagree), 240 or better 300 wide for silver. if you don't like them, just trade or give them back to the lfs.
