A quick video. The male dug a huge hole, looks like a bomb cater 
The eggs didn't hatch. They turned white Saturday, and yesterday they had some fuzzy stuff all over 'em. A little looking around on the Internet, and it seems that's what happens when fish eggs aren't fertilized.
I kinda figured that, so, I took the rocks with eggs out of the tank, see if I can get the male and female to try again before I go outta town next Monday.

The female needs to feed up, get her energy back before she produces more spawn. Normally takes 4 to 6 weeks some times longer.

hmm....well, they're not doing anything "spawnish" now......no digging, shaking, none of that. Female can get away from the male if things get ugly, so i guess i've done all i can do....we'll see what happens.
