I had a black bullhead in with my fishes and he never ate any of my fish but did bully them a lot but nothing serouse I had a 60 gallon with a 6 inch bullhead a pleco and an Oscar and two convicts and never had a problem I would just add a lot of hiding spots were the fish can get in but not the catfish good luck with your tank if your willing to take the risk of loosing 1 or 2 fish then go for it

Well I think I can accept not getting natives but what about the stocking I just posted?

I guess I will skip the Texas then. (This is so frustrating trying to pick fish:wall:).

It's frustrating having a guy make two stocking threads, changes his mind every hour, and puts a random new fish into the pile to ask us itll work. Research my friend. Research research research research. If anything the only stock id say out of any of your suggestions. Would be the original stick without the native fish

Well I already said in a previous post that if people want to give suggestions, I'm welcoming it. I have been researching on this tank for months and just when I calculate all the needs of the fish and think the stocking will work then somebody tells me it won't and I have to go out and research/put together a new stocking list. Not trying to complain this is just getting frustrating. Again if you have any ideas for stocking please feel free to suggest.

Not sure if this is ANY better and I am tired of getting hate but if this stock soesn't work then I give up (for a day or two). I have thoroughly researched this and it is just a bit overstocked but I am more than willing to do water changes every 2-weeks or if necessary weekly. Here it is my final stocking idea attempt.
Fish:
1 Firemouth
1 Redhead Geophagus
1 Red Shoulder Severum
1 Annostomus Cigar Fish (for a change of pace)
1 Striped Raphael Catfish
1 Sailfin Pleco (I am aware it will outgrow the tank but I already have it in my 30 gallon)
1 Synodontis Nigrita
1 Synodontis Decorus (If any room left in stocking)
3 Pictus Catfish (almost definitely won't be room for but if there is then hooray)

That's it for everybody fed up with all the different lists I'm done now.
PS for those unaware, my filter is a Fluval 406 and I am researching a good sponge filter to get as well.

Well then it seems you're not doing your research very well then right??

Another issue is you say youre willing to do a water change every 2 weeks or one week if you have too; you should be doing weekly regardless of stock. Then multiple times a week for big bioloads. And you should look into an hob also I don't think one 406 and sponge may not be adequate.

Last thing for me. You should be okay if you drop the pictus. Then it depends on your filtration and w/c regime

Alright thanks I'll forget the pictus and do the other fish. Once I start to add fish I'll make an mother thread for setting it up to get tips and opinions for people.

Im not fed up at all, and i don't mind helping out in any way.

go with this:

1 firemouth
1 redhead geophagus
1 green severum
1 striped raphael catfish
1 Sailfin pleco
1 s. Decorus
if any room is left I will put in a few rainbow fish as dither.

Sun catfish is too much... The pleco will be plenty big too, and a poop machine. and you'll need wood.
