This totally sucks. I have bought a lot of fish from these guys and every time they have exceeded my expectations.

Better to look before posting:

In all fairness I thought the same thing too. You have to click "Today's Specials" to see that message. I would only click the specials section if they had something I wanted. Normally if someone is closing shop they would post it on the main part of their homepage so more people are aware right of the bat and get a sence of urgency.

Anyway, sad to see another fall. Honestly though I could see alittle revamping of the site and working on some PR to get the word out to more people in the hobby about his services. I had no idea TFD existed until this thread. Hopefully all works out well for him.

This is sad. I was wondering why they didn't have anything up on Aquabid.

This is sad :(
They have great prices...although they seem to cater more to selling to LFSs rather than to personal hobbyists

i'm going to chime in but i may put my foot in the mouth but oh well.
Time was coming sooner then later. Qualtiy, Quality ..... Service, etc.. was lacking & its a domino affect. I was going there 26 years ago, but over time not so good. Spent & lost a lot too many times & I seen with my own eyes.
A sad tail many have seen over the years of the industry losing your local fish stores so when they are lost then the small middle dealers of live & dry also fade away because they do not or can not supply enough to keep business going. Some try to turn & sell direct to consumers but many fail because of quality & service usually lack unlike most lfs provide or should.
Many do not realize the changes happening behind the scenes before, now & tomorrow!
Its been a few years but if I remember there was over 350+ fish farms registered in Florida & a few years ago it was down to 80 something.
Its scary!
Even for me & I'm anal about quality fish and its getting harder to find them!
Farms, breeders, flippers etc are not trying to produce good blood lines but just produce more etc. for sake of profits. Also fish disease like ick on steriods that are becoming harder to treat & more resistant to treatments being used today.
Hobby is not like the old days & change continues. So enjoy it while we have it.
