True Texas or Carpintis? Please help me Id.

I looked at that pic again and it does look like a small jack dempsey I have in my tank .It looked like a texas in the video but the blown up pic looks like a jd....
 
I have been watching this fish for a few days now and I have to be honest I really don't know if this is a Texas. I could be wrong but should the color be an indicator if this is a Texas or not? It has the pearls that are small but still a brownish color rather than white/grey that you see on a true Texas.

The water conditions are great. There is no fighting/aggression with any fish in the tank since the "Texas" is the largest fish.

I am so confused at this point, I really do not think it is a Jack. I am going to get some better pictures tonight that should help out.
