They’re always swimming together since the day I got them. They only fight for food but other than that, they have been very peaceful with each other.

Well bad news. Came home from work to find that the, I believe male is dead! When I fished him out, I noticed that blood was dripping out of his mouth. Don’t understand what happened. Maybe female killed him or could be that last night when I was rearranging the tank he could’ve banged himself up pretty good and cause internal bleeding. Anyways I was hoping that they would be a pair.

Thanks. Yeah it’s a bummer. I was really starting to enjoy them since they’re bigger and out swimming around.

Update on female pike. Ever since the male died she’s been hiding more and comes out to eat then disappears.

Picked up another 8” pike and they seem to get along fine till feeding time. Finally got them eating tilapia fillets with frozen krill. Gonna have to start stuffing the fillets with pellets. Hopefully new pike is a male
