Trying this again....zebrina and discus

I buy all my wilds from snookn21. He is a solid vendor. Others go through Mark Chen aka Discus Origins. Jeff Rapps also gets wilds in from time to time.

Do you know if any of those vendors you mentioned carry captive bred discus. I am wanting to go with some of the more brightly colored types.
Also, did you grow yours out yourself or did you buy them already at adult size?
They only do wild. I bought my captives from Hans and I highly recommend him.
I bought them grown. Growing out discus is a pain. You need frequent water changes. Also, I've found wilds to be hardier. My water temp is between 78 and 80 with the wilds.

It didn't work out long term. The Zebrina, who were easy going and friendly have grown more aggressive with age.
I had to sell the discus. It worked for a while though but I wouldn't recommend it.
To give you an idea, my Zebrina are now in a 225 with two stingrays, 2 Intermedia peacock bass, and four severums and they control the tank and push all the other fish around.
