Trying to do it right..?

What are the best looking small/medium.knives

personally the zebra and tiger knives they max around 12" and have decent personalities just stay away from banded(carpo) knives because they are bigger with attitude. The problem with these 2 is they are very seasonal and can be hard to find but worth it

Di you ever keep either species ?

no but I plan to and have done a lot of research but haven't found one that was available at a time that I had the money for it. I did have a 12"carpo he was such a jerk he had to be isolated, he even chased a 12" common pleco.

I keep the African knives as mentioned, yet to ever seen one over 10". Always squabbling but never hurting each other

tlindsey, Thanks! I could put the cory in my 29 planted tank, but don't want to risk my fledgling shrimp colony in there. It's pretty heavily planted, but still. I want the cory to have company, but also don't want to risk any new ones upsetting the balance and getting eaten. I suppose it'll have to deal with being on its own until I upgrade/get a third tank.

I kept corys and shrimp together for years. I have never seen a cory bother even the tiniest of shrimp. They ate along each other...
