Ok man listen up Your Turtle needs to be checked out immediately. If you can't afford it, contact your local ASPCA sometimes they will test animals for free. Secondly If you have collected any other animals from the Mercury Water and are keeping them you need to get rid of them and the water in your tank. I can tell you first hand what Mercury can do to someone. My mother was exposed to mercury while she was pregnant with me. I was born without a Nose bone, with treachestanosis and broncialstanosis meaning that my bronchial tubes and my treachea are the size of a toddlers, also 3 of my 6 lobes in my lungs never formed properly and I only have about 40% of the lung capacity I should. sight and hearing problems, and an overall lack of smell. So let me tell you that extended exposure to MERCURY WILL EFFECT YOUR LIFE IN UNIMAGNIABLE WAYS AND CAN CAUSE UNBELIEVABLE PAIN NOT ONLY TO YOURSELF BUT TO YOUR FUTURE CHILDREN. SO GET THE TURTLE CHECKED AND IF HE TESTS POSITIVE GET YOURSELF CHECKED. NOT NEXT MONTH NOT IN A FEW WEEKS NOT NEXT WEEK. YOU NEED TO GET THAT TURTLE CHECKED TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
get that thing tested pronto. I'm sure it will be ok if it has lived this long, but you may be in for some rough times if you keep it and are in close contact with it for too long.
