Turtle with monster fish, possible?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry for the reposts...but this softshell is also a female so she really doesnt have claws that could scratch the fish. I have a 6" spiny softshell male that has longer claws than her lol....also this was probably a bad idea to post pics. I am very lucky to have my group cohabitate with no issues my smaller softshell tears up anything in his tank so its a case by case scenario.

No the pic was cool :) I'm not taking anything as a given, I will be very very carful with any introductions and have a back up tank just incase. It seems the same as a lot of my fish, some ate mean and so are laid back so we will just have to wait and see, I will keep you all updated

Ok thanks for your input, I am going to be very carful if I do decide to mix and have a spare tank prep'd and ready and to be honest rite now I'm thinking about just keeping it on its own but I will post what I decide when it happens :)

I keep my turtles separately but I have noticed that after feeding them feeders on occasion for years and then stopping for 6 months before giving more that they haven't ate a single one in two weeks. I think after a while they just don't see fish as food anymore, atleast mine don't. The will eat anything else that hits the water but they just don't want to put the effort in to catch the fish.

Only a musk pretty much.
This is my 5 year old Sternotherus Oderatus, or Stinkpot Musk.
He/she lives with a 22" TT variant, a huge, fat Raph cat, a Sveni Pike a senegal and a pumpkinseed.
Before the Cherax died I had every continent represented in that tank.
The dock is an xbox360...and yes, they all get along.

So what did you keep that was from Antarctica?
