I had some white clouds with my RES and Yellow Belly sliders for awhile. Don't know where they all went tho.....

i have a 3" red ear in my 55 with my oscar just for the winter, they like each other they swim side by side and eat together and everything its really quite cute, but i wouldnt dare do this with an adult turtle they are to messy and so interest in eating fish.

i have 2 soft shell turtle with my cichlids and it didn't do any harm to them

u just must keep the turtle with bigger and strong fish

What species of softshell and how big are they? Do you know what sex the turtles are? Some species of softshell get huge, especially the females. A large, adult female will pretty much own any cichlid out there. I guess you keep them well fed! :D

I have a 55 gallon with an Eastern River Cooter, a LMB, and a Yellow Bullhead Catfish.. The turtle leaves everyone alone, and eats plants from my creek and pellet food. Cooters are mostly vegetarians as they mature... Sometimes she eats dead feeders, but mostly she stays away from the fish... Be sure to provide a nice basking spot, as most any turtle enjoys a chance to dry their shell every once in a while. Good luck!

and ur finger if you not carefull with it ;)

they still small consider the size they can reach so it's ok for now to put them with my flowerhorn

but if i put any small weak fish like gold, molly, platy

they will disepear the moment u close ur eye

Looks like a Western Spiny Softshell, Apalone spinifera hartwegi from the photo you have. These guys can have nasty attitudes. Females of this species can get 18 inches long! What size tank are you keeping them in? A flowerhorn is a tough fish, I guess you'll find out how tough when your turtles grow up.
