Pole that link is for a big list or articles. And on topic, there was an articlebin local paper this week. Guy gets assaulted by 2 other guys and gets knocked out. When he comes to one of the guys is stood on his chest/neck holding him down and their Staffordshire Bull terrier is biting his face. Thats the problem, idiots who shouldn't even be allowed out in public having these dogs as a status symbol. Yes sometimes poop happens with previously 'good' dogs but majority of attacks are from idiots. All the cross breeding doesn't help either, they want bigger dogs, but the stability and good nature (to people maybe not other dogs) gets lost and undesirable traits get picked up. Meanwhile the dogs get bigger and more powerful and harder to control.

I have exquisitely well trained German shepherds and I wouldn't even begin to entertain the thought of leaving my son alone in the house with them. The breed doesn't matter to me, GSD, pit bull, golden retriever, whatever. I'd never leave a small child alone with no supervision with a 90 pound predatory animal. I feel that far too often people forget that dogs are Canis lupis familiaris, a subspecies of the wolf.

same for all pets.

Leaving an infant alone with any large animal is neglect, much like a hot oven or a bunch of knives.

He was at the foot of the bed when she was born and protected her like his own. Still wouldn't leave them unattended.
