Hello. I am curious about which tile is safe for the aqaurium? I am looking at few different ones at Lowes;absolute black polished natural stone granite floor tile, natural stone pebble floor and wall tile(river rock), and glossy ceramic wale tile. Any other ideas are welcomed. I am doing a diy cave project.

Ceramic tile is definitely safe, any kind of inert stone tiles probably are as well. Make sure you silicon them to the bottom neatly and seal around the tiles with silicon or poop will all get trapped under them.

Hello T Tampa Tank ,
You should be just fine using the tile you have mentioned. I don't think I'd worry about it as long as there is no adhesive on the tile you should be good to go. I think tile would be pretty cool for caves, ect. Have fun with it.

good to make caves with them. I usually use slate just because i like the look. Do not ever use soap stone i hade a bunch left over from a prodject and cut up 1 1/2 block and long sections and made caves for my axolotl years ago and they leached into the water. most common tile should do just fine. i have used random tile in the past to silicone pots to and other stuff no issues ever. lots of people on here i have seen use it for the hole bottom of there big tanks. Post pics when made please
