He certainly doesn't look good. Hopefully everyone else is ok. Controlling water conditions can be a pita, and these fish seem so fragile.

Came home tonight to find him bloated and on his side, but still barely breathing. Culled him so he could be done with it. Down to four.
Quick update while beetlebug515 is away. It was very sad and unfortunate when we lost the smallest one. I put carbon in the filter and did a water change the next day after the little guy passed. Tonight I did a bit of rescaping of the tank and they are really enjoying it. We also have this one big panda who is almost always white for the past week and it also won't eat anything but blood worms. I hope it's breeding behavior but not sure since only one is doing it. I'm going to start putting tannins back in the water tomorrow and hopefully that will make their conditions right enough to breed.

That's (obviously) the dominant one. I had one that ruled the tank for months and never showed any interest in bonding with another fish. Just being an @$$ until another two paired up and killed it. Did look good though.
This seems a bit more common than I'd expect. Vicious little turds, can't wait for those or zebrina f1
Hello all. Finally got some time to jump back on and give an update. Breeding attempts are going to start in earnest today. The largest two, one being the dominant one, have been guarding the right side of the tank non-stop. Both of them have been staying white, and are well conditioned in my opinion. What I have yet to figure out is what triggers them to spawn in nature soooo.... for about the last week they have been fed fairly lightly with tank temp at 87. During todays water change I'm going to drop the temp to about 80-82 to simulate the start of the rainy season and feed high protein meals heavily for a couple of days.
Got a good video of the biggest two tonight. What caught my attention was them circling each other, which I was able to catch a bit of in the beginning of the video.
