Udon, Soba, and the Noodles

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I watched the videos on my phone yesterday - revisited the second one today on the computer and actually looked at the stock. He has big Pollis and Dels with Endlis. This has me hopeful that if I start like I am with these 3, get them bigger and then add LJs that I might be able to combine my UJs with LJs. Note how active those Pollis are. :)

He also has one rope fish. I wonder if I can keep my noodles with LJs later on or if they'll need to stay in a smaller tank due to lack of girth.

I think you can make it work, ive seen alot of UJ with LJ, maybe you can put the ropefish in woth them too, just keep the LJ well feed.

jwd jwd let's see if this works...

I think something like this could be effective with Vals, too. There are probably too many hiding spots behind the DW but it's cool how it's more built up on one side with plants.

Love the simplicity of this one. Uses DW and plants but still open space and still not toooo many hiding spots.

Similar likes here, though I actually think the cabomba or whatever on the right would look better just as more vals/anubias.

This one is a nice use of DW with open space and some plants, could be even cooler with anubias/vals. A way to use DW without a ton of hiding spots, though you'd have to be careful in the back right corner.

This one doesn't have plants but I just LOVE how it is almost a 360 degree view of the tank - so used to seeing tanks with a long end on a wall.

This tank is huge, but it has large polys and a use of DW with the plants up high. Interesting with more substrate space yet some cover to help the fish feel secure.

None of this may be your thing, but I thought I'd share anyway. I need to figure out how I can transition to a tank that I love aesthetically but can accommodate larger fish - cichlids and polys.

just saw this for some reason. I didn't get the notification. These are beautiful setups. I'll look at them more closely when I get some free time.

I tried to add some pics this morning but it wasn't really working. I'll try to add one now of fatty macaroni. He eats like a CB - stuffs himself. I haven't had a poly this small yet, is that just normal for the babies? I know I'm supposed to feed them daily until they're like 6 inches but I really feel like he should fast today. Do you think it's a bad idea? Will he just gorge himself even more the next meal? IMG_8039.JPG

I would let it process that food before giving it more.
