Udon, Soba, and the Noodles

In a crazy development, the Portland people called me last night at 8pm, saying they had just gotten the fish. He said because the woman who I spoke to had given them the heads up of the problem, I could pick it up there directly. He gave me his personal cell to call when I got there, and then called back with another guys number because he was stepping out for a minute. I show up at this weird shipping location near the airport and they give me the box, which looks perfect. I run home and all looks good inside the box, put them in the tank, one has sporadic gill movement so I am hopeful, but none made it. 
It's upsetting because if they hadn't been held overnight at some cold ass airport at least that one would have likely made it. Poor little ones.
The original guy called me back to be sure I had gotten the box. I'm grateful for their efforts and the investigator lady, just pissed and confounded at whatever ******* decided to delay them - live fish, with guaranteed delivery time - overnight in Philly. Grrrrrrrr
And yeah, it is silly when they have a hard time finding a piece of food right in front of them. My Polli has the best "nose" of the 6.
I love the character in this little one! Not shy, inquisitive, comes to say hi, loves to swim. Maybe it'll change some as he gets bigger? Not sure.
To be honest, every service - FedEx, UPS, and the USPS has both horror stories and people that swear by them. All just on this site. It's hard to know what to do.

That is crazy! Baby cichlids just aren't as hardy as ancient fish that evolved to breathe air.

Albino Pollis? Or Senegals? I've never seen an albino Polli. Interesting.That fish is too cute! Love it. The albino pollis at the shop were very lazy compared to yours.

Labled as polli, they had a sen there many moons ago. That's the only place I have seen them in person. I wouldn't touch the fish there with a stick, very overcrowded tanks and some pretty beaten up fish

I've had the Polli for a month now. She grew about 3/4 inch, is now just under 5 inches but much more filled out. Love this fish!
