At the press conference, a reporter asked about the clearly illegal knee (which Rogan didn't mention at the post fight interview). Bisping, being his usual classy self, said Rivera and his team needs to get over it and accept the loss.

He also spit at Rivera's crew after the fight. When they called him out for going too far, Bisping said "It doesn't surprise me. It's just one classless move after another, I suppose."

Another main-event proving why we need Pride style judging. Rds 1 and 2 were close and could have went either way. Even if you give them to Penn, the margin of victory was minimum. Rd 3 was 5 minutes of domination. Fitch's margin of victory in Rd 3 was so much more than Penn's margin in Rds 1 and 2 combined.

For full disclosure, I hate BJ Penn.

Bisping isn't usually a dirty fight; I think that knee was intentional.

so what were the stipulations...winner gets GSP? either way I think Fitch deserves the fight as BJ's lost twice already and Fitch is due for one. I'm glad Fitch owned up and said he didn't fight to his full potential and was disappointed with himself.


I think 10-8's aren't give out nearly enough.

Could at least do like some of the fights in Japan and have to declare a winner even if you give the fight a draw.

it was the correct decision. bj won the first two rounds 10-9 rounds and fitch dominated the 3rd round for a 10-8 round. i agree with the ruling. bisbing is a ahole and i cant wait until he actually fights someone. the best fighter i know of him fighting was matt hammel and hammel got ripped off. when he does fight someone good he looses

Exactly. Pride judging was based on the entire fight, not round by round. It was far superior.

Definitely. Look at the stats from the round. Even Penn acknowledged how bad the 3rd round was for him. In the post fight interview and press conferences he admitted getting the draw was luck.

Bisping's best opponents have been Evans, Henderson, and Wand. He lost all three. Hendo's KTFO was a thing of beauty.

His biggest victory has been Akiyama. The Hammill judging was a disgrace.
