I'm still bummed about Shogun, so I did an ms paint tribute to him.

one of the best fighters/mw/lhw fighters in the world

2005 Pride Middleweight Grand Prix Champion
2010 UFC Light Heavyweight Champion

Mauricio Shogun Rua

roflmao, if i wasn't a lil plugged into the world, i'd think shogun died in the octagon during that fight with the way you guys are talking about him.

whether shogun would've still lost, i can't say, he may very well still lost, maybe not

but one thing is for sure, he would've put up a better fight. a lot of the strikes he ate because he was too tired to defend. the conditioning definitely played a role in the fight

Its not like this was a 5 round war though svang, he got handled right from the start.

it was pretty bad, he looked like an amateur. if you saw that fight not knowing who they were, you wouldn't believe shogun was the champ nor did he belong in the ring with jones

he gassed fast dude, i didnt' rewatch it yet, but i felt he was doing fine until he got up after the first take down and seen how sloppy he was.

i'm not saying jones didn't contribute to the gassing, but i truly believe shogun's cardio was no where near ready

after he got up, that's when the real beating started

Being unable to implement your game plan or having one that didn't work as expected is not that same as having no game plan.

Being pummeled in the face has been known to have a detrimental impact on your gas tank.

"Everyone has a plan, until they get hit."

Joe Louis. (and later, Mike Tyson)

another good line of mma is

you punch a black belt in the face and they turn into a blue belt

or something like that
