Feeding shrimp does not have that great of an effect on a fish's coloration. In my experience, they brighten yellow-red coloration, they don't create or spread it. I think coloration has more to do with genetics than feeding.JC_P;4585535; said:Are the shrimp shell-on or off? Shrimp shells have high levels of carotenoids which promote warmer colouration i.e yellow, orange, red ect.. Shrimp flesh also contains carotene, but in lower doses which could also be a contributor.
